THIS.. was a blast. I’ve voiced a few things for the Bison Boys. I’m thankful for all my clients, but occasionally you really connect with the attitude, the performance, the ethos. Check it out.

This horrifying dystopian scene is Werner Herzog’s retelling of his experience at Trader Joe’s market which was actually written by Paul F. Tomkins in a satirical review intended to reflect Herzog’s less-than-cheery persona. Click here for an article on Tomkins and the review and Herzog’s reaction upon finding out about it. It’s not for the faint of heart or those with a fear of crowds, confined spaces or humanity in general. Werner wrote the review. I did the voice, sound design and ambient music. The performance is not an impression of Herzog, but was inspired by the fake review.
Voiceover is one of my first “industry” loves. Working with clients to bring their vision to life. Interpreting, acting, visualizing, creating. Giving voice to something that wasn’t previously there. It’s still exciting and I still get a charge from it. Let’s work together to give your vision a voice.

Today’s guest is Lorna Smith from Covenant Home Care. Lorna talks about balancing the challenges they’re currently facing as well as some of the opportunities created for people who might be considering a career change whether by necessity or choice. Like many essential businesses who find themselves busier than ever, Covenant is actually hiring and looking forward. Their website has a lot of useful information and FAQs regarding in-home care as well as a list of their affiliations and accreditations.

Here’s a recent project I voiced for Rocs Local Market. I got to, well, “reference” a couple of my original announcer heroes, legends both. This delivery channels elements of NFL Films announcer John Facenda, and the man who took over for him after his passing, longtime voice of the Philadelphia Phillies (my favorite baseball team growing up) Harry Kalas. This is by no means an impression of either man, but a melding in the style of each. Thanks to The Audio Suite for hiring me.
Virginia Tech has become one of my all-time favorite voiceover clients. They are great to work with, provide good copy and direction, and produce great work. Essentially, they do all the work for me. All I have to do is stick a mic in my face and try not to screw it up. Here’s a new video they produced with my voiceover that will run online, on their social media and during in-game.
